2. Kogniz Cortex (Optional)

The Kogniz Cortex is a small, optional appliance that can power up to ten existing surveillance cameras for exposure detection and social distancing and personal protection (i.e., mask) enforcement.

3. Kogniz Health Response Platform

The Kogniz Health Response Platform refers to the cutting-edge detection algorithms and customizable rules, developed over many man years by the top AI researchers, scientists, and developers who comprise the Kogniz team, that make the magic of high-flow, real-time health monitoring possible.  

Merges thermal and optical images from disparate cameras (and high volumes of people, if needed) into single images in real time.

Leverages advanced facial detection algorithms to hone in on areas of the face that provide the most accurate temperature results.

Constantly normalizes readings in real time so that temperature readings reflect actual body temperatures, versus skin temperatures that are highly inaccurate and vulnerable to ambient conditions.

Accurately tracks movements of subjects around facilities, even when they’re wearing protective gear like masks.

Powers existing surveillance cameras (up to five with the Kogniz Health Cam, and unlimited via the optional Kogniz Cortex devices) to provide exposure and mask detection and social-distancing enforcement throughout facilities.

Merges streams from multiple surveillance cameras powered by Kogniz Cortex, even across disparate facilities, into a unified web and mobile UI.

Respects privacy by tracking subjects solely based on their facial features, without additional identifying information like name, address, etc.


Internet Access

The Kogniz Health Response Platform can work on wired ethernet, WiFi or even lower-bandwidth cellular networks.

IP Surveillance Cameras (Optional)

The Kogniz Health Cam can power up to five existing RTSP surveillance cameras for contact tracking, social distancing, and mask detection throughout a facility. Additional surveillance cameras can be integrated with the Kogniz Health Response Platform by adding one Kogniz Cortex device for every ten surveillance cameras.

Flexible Topologies

Option 1

The Kogniz Health Cam connects to a separate router on a corporate network via WiFi or wired ethernet.  Kogniz Cortex connects to that same router.

Kogniz Health Cam video processes locally on Kogniz Cortex, reducing corporate network traffic.

Requires a separate router.

Option 2

The Kogniz Health Cam connects to a corporate network via WiFi or wired ethernet.  Kogniz Cortex connects to the same network.

Simple setup.  The Kogniz Health video is sent over the LAN and processed by Kogniz Cortex.

Video traffic is sent over the corporate LAN.

Option 3

The Kogniz Health Cam connects to a router via a cellular network.  Kogniz Cortex connects to the same router as the Kogniz Health Cam.

Kogniz Cortex processes Kogniz Health Cam data locally, reducing network traffic.  The cellular connection enables the Kogniz Health Response Platform to work in any location.

Requires a cellular-enabled router and network.

Option 4

The Kogniz Health Cam connects directly to the Internet via a cellular network and is battery-powered.  The Kogniz Cortex connects to the corporate network.

The Kogniz Health Response Platform is usable in challenging locations.

Extra bandwidth needed to route the Kogniz Health Cam output to the Kogniz service for processing.  Possible reduction of video resolution and frame rate.
